Aaron Finch Cricketer

Aaron James Finch (born 17 November 1986 in Colac, Victoria) is an Australian cricketer who plays for Victoria. A right-handed batsman, he played in the 2006 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka. Finch is a middle order batsman, but has been used up the order when playing for club side Geelong. Finch got his opportunity in the State side in the 2009/10 season. He hit his maiden first class ton against Tasmania at the MCG. He was involved in a 212 run stand for the 3rd wicket with David Hussey. He was eventually out caught behind for 102. Aaron Finch made a promising start to the 2010 Airtel Champions League Twenty20 in South Africa, for Victorian Bushrangers. Whilst playing against the Chennai Super Kings, commentators commented upon a recent interview by one of Finch's teammates who said he believed that Finch has 'test quality batting'. Finch scored 41 runs from just 17 balls in that particular match. He also made a match winning half century later in the tournament. Finch received "Man of the Match" honours in a Twenty 20 game against England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on 14 January 2011.
