Aleksandr Ponomarev Sports manager

Aleksandr Ponomarev was a Soviet Ukrainian football player and manager. Won the Soviet Cup in 1949 with Torpedo Moscow. Scored 152 goals in the Soviet Top League. He was the head coach of the USSR national football team in 1972, leading the team to second place in UEFA Euro 1972. He also with FC Dynamo Moscow obtained the bronze medals of the Soviet Top League, and the Olympic Games 1972.
