Alex Ríos Baseball player

Alexis Israel Ríos (born February 18, 1981) is a Puerto Rican-American professional baseball outfielder for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball. He has also played in MLB for the Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago White Sox, and Texas RangersRíos debuted in MLB with the Blue Jays in 2004. He was an All-Star in 2006 and 2007. He played for the Blue Jays through 2009. In the 2009 season, the White Sox claimed him after the Blue Jays put him on waivers. The Blue Jays just wanted to get rid of his contract, so the Blue Jays traded him to the White Sox in exchange for picking up his contract. The White Sox traded him to the Rangers during the 2013 season for Leury García after the Rangers claimed Ríos from waivers. This was also a salary dump, and so it helped the White Sox sign Jose Abréu.
