Alexander Patch Military person
General Alexander McCarrell "Sandy" Patch (23 November 1889 – 21 November 1945) was an officer in the United States Army, best known for his service in World War II. He commanded U.S. Army and United States Marine Corps forces during the Guadalcanal Campaign, and the Seventh Army in France and Germany. He died a few months after the end of the war.
