Alfred Stowell Jones Military person

Lieutenant Colonel Alfred Stowell Jones VC (24 January 1832 – 29 May 1920) was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest, and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.Jones was the son of the late Archdeacon Jones. He was educated at Liverpool College and Sandhurst and entered the 9th Lancers in 1852.
