Alper Uçar Figure skater

Alper Uçar is a Turkish figure skater who has competed as a single skater and ice dancer. As a single skater, he is the 2005 Turkish national champion and four-time junior national champion. He began competing with Jenette Maitz as an ice dancer in the 2009-2010 season. They are the 2010 Turkish national champions. He started skating at the age of 6 in 1990 after the first ice rink opened in Ankara Turkey. In 1995 he won a gold medal at the Balkan Games at a novice competition. Following this, he won his second gold in the Netherlands. He competed alongside partner Alisa Agafonova, with whom he won a silver medal at the 2011 Winter Universiade.
