Amos Milburn Musical artist

Joseph Amos Milburn, Jr. (April 1, 1927 – January 3, 1980) was an African-American rhythm and blues singer and pianist, popular during the 1940s and 1950s. He was born and died in Houston, Texas.One commentator noted, "Milburn excelled at good-natured, upbeat romps about booze and partying, imbued with a vibrant sense of humour and double entendre, as well as vivid, down-home imagery in his lyrics."
