Anthony Modeste Football player
Anthony Mbu Agogo Modeste (born 14 April 1988 in Cannes) is a French professional footballer who currently plays for English club Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League on loan from his parent club Bordeaux. On 13 August 2010, Modeste joined Bordeaux from OGC Nice for an undisclosed fee thought to be €3.5 million and signed a four-year contract with the club. Modeste started his opening season well at the French club, scoring in only his 3rd professional appearance for Bordeaux against Marseille. On 12 Sempter 2010 he doubled his tally of goals, by scoring against his old side Nice. Modeste ended the 2010/11 season making 37 appearances, and scoring 10 goals for Bordeaux, including a hat-trick against Arles-Avignon. Modeste's following season at Bordeaux wasn't quite as successful. In the 2011–12 season, he made 15 appearances for the club, scoring only 3 goals. On 19 January 2012 Modeste joined Blackburn Rovers on loan for the rest of the 2011-12 Premier League season but with the French employers insiting there would be no option to buy at the end of the loan period.
