Ariel Silvio Zárate Riga (born 13 July 1973 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine retired footballer who played mainly as a forward.Only having made his debuts in the first division in his own country well past his 30s, he spent the vast majority of his professional career in Spain, mainly with Málaga, which he represented in three full La Liga seasons.
