Aslı Çakır Alptekin Athlete
Aslı Çakır Alptekin, née Çakır, (born August 20, 1985) is a Turkish female middle distance runner. A member of the Üsküdar Belediyespor in Istanbul, she is coached by Ihsan Alptekin. She is 168 cm (5.51 ft) tall at 50 kg (110 lb). Currently, Aslı Çakır Alptekin is a student of physical education and sports at the Dumlupınar University in Kütahya. She is the gold medalist of the 1500 m event at the 2011 Summer Universiade held in Shenzen, China. Aslı Çakır Alptekin won the bronze medal in the 1500 m event at the 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships held in Istanbul, Turkey.
