Athanasios Diakos Military person
Athanasios Diakos (1788–1821), a Greek military commander during the Greek War of Independence and a national hero, was born Athanasios Nikolaos Massavetas (Greek: Αθανάσιος Νικόλαος Μασσαβέτας) in the village of Ano Mousounitsa, Phocis.
