Bart Carlton Basketball player

Bart Carlton was an American standout college basketball player at Ada Teachers College (later named East Central University) in Ada, Oklahoma during the early 1930s. He was a two-time All-American in 1930 and 1931. Carlton was also named the Helms National Player of the Year in 1931 despite having never been a consensus All-American, giving him the odd distinction as the only national player of the year who was never a consensus All-American (since consensus voting began in 1928–29).After college he played in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) for the DX-Oilers. Carlton led them to a national championship in 1933 with teammate Chuck Hyatt and helped produce a 26–0 record.
