Benjamín Ruiz Football player

Benjamín Ignacio Ruiz Herrera (Spanish pronunciation: [beŋxaˈmin ruˈiθ], born 21 August 1983) is a Chilean footballer that currently plays for the Primera B side Ñublense as a right back. He began his career at powerhouse club Universidad Católica, joining then in 2001 to Audax Italiano, remaining there five seasons, until the coach Claudio Borghi called him for play at Colo-Colo, most successful club of the country, in where won the Torneo de Apertura, his first professional title. Two seasons later, Benjamín earned with Everton, another honour in his career, under the orders of veteran head coach Nelson Acosta.Ruiz also is model and has a notable similar with Gonzalo Valenzuela, successful actor of his country that is currently working in Argentina and married with the actress Juana Viale. His similar was commonly known when Canal 13's teleserie Machos featured to Valenzuela under the character of Adán Mercader, and the newspaper La Cuarta nicknamed him as the Adán Mercader of the Chilean football.
