Bernard Cazeneuve Politician
Bernard Cazeneuve (born in Senlis on 2 June 1963) is a French politician and Minister of the Interior. He was Junior Minister for European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a member of the National Assembly of France where he represented the 5th constituency of Manche on behalf of the Socialist Party.He has been the mayor of Cherbourg-Octeville since 2001. On 2 April 2014 he was appointed by Prime Minister Manuel Valls as the Minister of the Interior. Prior to his appointment as Interior Minister he was the Minister for the Budget (since 19 March 2013 until 2 April 2014), under the Government of Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault.
