Billy Ward Rugby player
William "Billy" Ward (April→June 1888 — death unknown) born in Whitehaven, was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1910s, playing at representative level for Great Britain, and England, and at club level for Whitehaven, Egremont, and Leeds (for 13-years), as a Prop, i.e. number 8 or 10, during the era of contested scrums.
