Bob Filner Politician

Robert Earl "Bob" Filner (born September 4, 1942) is an American politician from San Diego, California. He was the 35th Mayor of San Diego, serving from December 2012 until August 2013. Filner resigned less than a year after taking office amid multiple allegations of sexual harassment. He later pleaded guilty to state charges of false imprisonment and battery.Filner was previously the U.S. Representative for California's 51st congressional district, and the 50th, serving from 1993 to 2012. He was chairman of the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs from 2007 to 2011. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
