Bruce Daniels

Bruce Daniels is an American computer programmer and business executive who has worked for Hewlett Packard, Apple Computer, Oracle, Borland, Sun Microsystems and his own start-up Singular Software, which created Mac database management software. He is known for having been the lead developer on the operating system for the Apple Lisa, and for being one of the original programmers of Zork, when he was still a student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also programmed the Apple II port of Zork.He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Soquel Creek Water District in Santa Cruz County, California serving in his second term as an elected official in 2010. Also in 2010, Bruce Daniels advanced to Ph.D. Candidacy in Hydro-Climatology at UCSC. In 2011, he was named an ARCS Scholar (Achievement Rewards for College Scientists) in Northern California.
