Cal Neeman Baseball player

Calvin Amandus Neeman (born February 18, 1929 in Valmeyer, Illinois), is a retired professional baseball player who played catcher in the Major Leagues from 1957-1963. He would play for the Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cleveland Indians, and Washington Senators. A fine defensive catcher, Neeman led all National League catchers in both double plays and putouts as a Cubs rookie in 1957. He is an alumnus of Illinois Wesleyan University, where he played both baseball and basketball.
