Charles Shackleford Basketball player

Charles Edward Shackleford (born April 22, 1966) is an American former professional basketball player.Shackleford played collegiate basketball at North Carolina State University for 3 seasons (1985/86-1987/88). He was selected by the New Jersey Nets in the 2nd round (32nd overall pick) of the 1988 NBA Draft. He played in six NBA seasons as a forward-center for the Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Charlotte Hornets. Shackleford's best year as a pro came during the 1989–1990 NBA season when he averaged 8.2 points per game in 70 games for the Nets. On February 20, 1990, he recorded a career high 26 rebounds to go with a career high 23 points at Milwaukee. Having played in top European teams, he led the 1995-96 Euroleague in rebounds averaging 12.3 per game with Ülkerspor and won the 1997 Korać Cup wearing Aris' Thessaloniki jersey.
