Chip Goodyear

Charles "Chip" Waterhouse Goodyear IV (born 18 January 1958) is the heir of a family with business interests in lumber and railway.He is a Yale graduate with a science degree in geology & geophysics and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He rowed on the lightweight crew team at Yale. He is a Member of the National Petroleum Council and International Council on Mining and Metals.He is considered by Businessweek to have been the responsible for BHP Billiton's turn-around during the 2000s, when under his leadership as CEO sales increased 47% and profits 78%, and for this reason they placed on top of their Europe's BW50 Leaders. However, others such as Deloitte, put BHP's success down to rising global commodity prices.
