Chris Folino

Christopher Peter Folino (born November 5, 1968 in Pasadena, California) is an acclaimed film director, screenwriter and producer whose work has been lauded in film festivals across several continents.Raised in El Monte, California, Folino attended the film departments of USC and Loyola Marymount University. He worked at several television stations and videogame companies, acquiring production, writing and directing experience.In 2006, Folino made his directorial debut with the comedy Gamers: The Movie, an independent film about four friends who attempt to set the world record for playing a Dungeons & Dragons-like game. Folino was singled out for the originality of his writing voice and sure hand at directing comedy.Folino's new movie Sparks came out in March 2014 and won awards at the Omaha Film Festival such as 'OFF the EDGE' Award, and at the Lake Charles Film Festival such as "Best Feature Film 2013," "Best Visual Effects," and "Best of Show-Feature Film." The movie is now available on iTunes, Amazon and Walmart. The movie also has International distribution, and on July 2nd, it's being released in Japan. The movie is based on the graphic novel written by Folino, which will arrive in all comic book stores this month through Diamond. Sparks was adapted, produced, and co-directed by Folino. Also an accomplished commercial director, Folino is the founder and Creative Director of Sideshow Productions, an award-winning TV commercial production studio that specializes in creating breakthrough creative for world-class entertainment brands including Toys ‘R’ Us, Disney, Caesar Millan, Jakks Pacific and Bandai. Currently, he has just released commercials for children's toys such as Palace Pets, Power Rangers, and Strawberry Shortcake.Folino resides in Southern California with his wife, his daughter Angelina and two production babies, Dominic and Jeremy. He is currently working on several new projects that will hit the screens shortly.
