Damian Gielty Football player

Damian Gielty (born 22nd Ferbruary 1984) Is a Scottish footballer from Midlothian. His most notable football years to date were spent at Newtongrange Star F. C between seasons (2006–2010). During this time he helped the team win promotion from both the South and Premier leagues into the Super League as well as winning the league cup in 2009. Damian's performances for his club were rewarded when he was capped and represented the Scotland Junior squad (SJFA) at the 2010 Quadrangular tournament in Northern Ireland. Damian Gielty has no shortage of footballing pedigree coming from a successful footballing family. Cousin of Manchester United and Scotland captain Darren Fletcher The two players who have only a months between them in age grew up playing football both at club and school level together. After Damian Gielty has moved to Luxembourg for work commitments (he works as a sport teacher at the International School of Luxembourg), he switched from Newtongrange Star to local FC Avenir Beggen.
