Daniel J. Arbess

Daniel J. Arbess is an American hedge fund manager, and a partner at the financial services firm Perella Weinberg Partners who has been professionally involved in policy analysis and global opportunities since the mid-1980s. He started his career as a lawyer and eventually the youngest-ever partner and head of global privatization at the international law firm White & Case, where he advised European and other emerging markets on economic transition, industrial reorganization and privatization. Mr. Arbess has been a principal investor since the mid-1990s. He launched the Xerion hedge fund in 2003, which pursues an opportunistic, multi-asset class investment strategy, primarily targeting transformative corporate events (such as financial restructuring), pivotal business trends, and changes in government policy affecting the macro environment. In November 2014, he announced that Xerion would be closed.
