David Sabine Cricketer

David John Sabine (born 6 June 1966) is a New Zealand born former English cricketer. Sabine was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace. He was born at Papakura, New Zealand. Sabine made a single first-class appearance for Kent against the touring West Indians at the St Lawrence Ground in 1988. In this match, he bowled 10 wicketless overs in the West Indians first-innings total of 275, conceding 29 runs. In Kent's first-innings response of just 81, Sabine was dismissed for 7 runs by Winston Benjamin. Following-on, Kent made 151 in their second-innings, with Sabine scoring just a single run before being dismissed by Ian Bishop. The West Indians won the match by an innings and 43 runs. In that same season he made a single List A appearance against Sussex at Mote Park in the Refuge Assurance League. Sabine wasn't required to bat during the match, while with the ball he bowled 5 wicketless overs, conceding 19 runs. Kent won the match by 4 wickets. These were his only major appearances for Kent.
