Demetris Christofi Football player
Demetris Christofi (Greek: Δημήτρης Χριστοφή; born September 28, 1988 in Sotira, Cyprus) is a Cypriot footballer who plays for FC Sion.Christofi is a winger who tends to play as a centre-forward or second striker. He is highly regarded for his strong shot. He was considered one of the most promising young players in Cyprus. His transfer from Enosis Neon Paralimni to Omonia was the most expensive transfer in the history of Cypriot football, reaching a reported cost of €800,000.He signed a 4-year contract with Omonoia earning about €150,000 annually. A contract clause enabled Onisilos Sotira and Enosis Neon Paralimniou each to gain 15% of the fee paid for any future transfer of the player. In June 2013, he was transferred to FC Sion for a fee of about 900 thousand euros.
