Derek Howes Rugby player

W. J. Derek Howes (birth registered January–March 1913 (age 101–102)) birth registered in Pontardawe district, is a Welsh rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1940s and '50s, playing club level rugby union (RU) for Llanelli RFC, and playing representative level rugby league (RL) for Wales, and at club level for Wakefield Trinity, as a Second-row, i.e. number 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums.
