Dieter Damerius Military person

Dieter Damerius (born 17 April 1924) was a Leutnant der Reserve in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Damerius was captured by British forces at the end of the war and was released in February 1946.
