Emil Bäuerle Military person

Emil Bäuerle (10 May 1917 – 16 March 2007) was a highly decorated Hauptmann der Reserves in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Emil Bäuerle was captured by Soviet troops in March 1945 and held until 1948.
