Esala Masi Football player

Esala Masi (born 9 March 1974) is a Fijian football striker, currently playing for Mitchelton in the Brisbane Second Division in Australia.Masi is regarded as the best Fijian football player of all time, since he has played (professionally) in Australian side for over 10 years (Labasa's Roy Krishna is Also considered the country's best footballer ever because of his achievements domestically and internationally). His uncle, the late Esala Masi Sr. was also a Fiji international football player in the 1960s; he died in Lautoka Hospital in 2010. His cousin, Manoa Masi has also played in Australia and the national team.Masi made his debut for the Fiji national football team in 1997 against New Zealand and has collected over 30 caps since, averaging almost a goal a game. He has captained the team on several occasions.Esala Masi has been associated with the NZ Master's club run by Vineet Sharma. Esala has been playing for NZ Masters from the age of 35 onwards. The star studded team has seen players like Pita Rabo, Wiseae Nambenu, Usenio Longiavo, Patrick Wise, Henry Dyer and many more.
