Gavin Reilly (born 10 May 1993) is a Scottish professional footballer, who plays as a striker for Queen of the South.Reilly is an attacker known for his pace, quick thinking and intelligent movement and positioning. He is a prolific goalscorer and made his name after scoring 15 goals in 22 starts during Season 2012/2013 and then 12 goals in 19 league starts in Season 2012/2013. In Summer 2014 he went on trial with English Championship club Brentford. Although he plays primarily as a striker, Reilly is also comfortable in a wide position.Reilly is currently enjoying an excellent season with Queens, scoring 10 goals by early December and topping the scoring charts in the Scottish Championship. On 12 December 2014 he scored a stunning goal in Queen of the South's 2–0 victory against Rangers, putting in an excellent Man of the Match performance in the live televised match.Reilly is a product of the youth policy of Dumfries club Queen of the South. He had been figuring in the 2010 pre season for Queens before it was formally announced on the club's official website as having signed a senior player's contract. Dan Orsi, Ian McShane and Steven Degnan were in the same announcement as having signed pro terms. Reilly made his competitive first team debut the following Saturday on 31 July 2010 in a 5–1 Scottish League Cup first round victory against Dumbarton F.C. An 83rd minute substitute for Derek Holmes, Reilly marked the occasion by scoring his side's fifth goal. His league debut was an 86th minute substitute's appearance in the season's opening 1–0 away defeat at Dundee.
