George Dempsey Basketball player

George P. Dempsey (born July 19, 1929) is an American former professional basketball player. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.A 6'2" guard from King's College, Dempsey played five seasons (1954–1959) in the National Basketball Association as a member of the Philadelphia Warriors and Syracuse Nationals. He averaged 5.0 points per game in his career and won a league championship with Philadelphia in 1956.Dempsey also played for the 1947 Merchantville High School team that won the New Jersey State Group Two Championship.
