George Hubbard Rugby player

George Cairns 'Scatter' Hubbard (November 23, 1867 - December 18, 1931) was an English rugby union player who represented the England national rugby union team. He also played first-class cricket with Kent. Hubbard, who was born in India, made his England debut in a 1892 Home Nations Championship match against Wales and scored a try. He was capped a second time in a win over Ireland later in the tournament.In 1895 he appeared in three first-class cricket matches for Kent. Against Gloucestershire on debut he scored 36 in his first innings before being caught and bowled by W. G. Grace and Hubbard also took what would be the only wicket of his career when he had Cyril Sewell stumped.
