George Webb
George Augustus Webb (6 March 1912 – 30 December 1998) was an English actor, best known for his role as "Daddy" in the sitcom Keeping Up Appearances.The son of Henry Augustus Webb (1880-1926) and Gertrude 'Billy' (née Bolingbroke) (1881-), he had two younger siblings, Denis Alfred Webb (1913-1918), who was killed by a military vehicle aged 5 while picking flowers for his mother; and Joan Webb (1915-1989) who committed suicide after years of ill health. From his father's earlier marriage George Webb was the half-brother of the actors Rita Webb and Harry Webb.George Webb died of natural causes on 30 December 1998 aged 86. He left a son, Michael Webb.
