Günther Hoffmann-Schönborn Military person

Günther Hoffmann-Schönborn (born 1 May 1905 – 4 April 1970) was an Officer in the German Wehrmacht and recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves during World War II. He received the Knight's Cross for successfully breaching the Metaxas Line and the Oak Leaves after a 120 kilometres (75 mi) attack and securing the Dnjepr bridge near Gernostaipol by surprise.
