Hamilton Boyd Politician

Hamilton Boyd was an American politician who served as mayor of Portland, Oregon, in 1868-69. He is thought to have come to Portland in 1860, worked as an assistant county clerk, and later worked as an accountant in the Ladd & Tilton bank. He was elected to a two-year term as county commissioner in 1868 and served as mayor from 1868 to 1869. Boyd died in Portland in 1886. He is buried in the Lone Fir Cemetery in Portland.
