Hanns-Horst von Necker Military person

Hanns-Horst von Necker (28 August 1903 – 27 February 1979) was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Luftwaffe during World War II who commanded the Fallschirm-Panzer Division 1 Hermann Göring. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Hanns-Horst von Necker was captured in 1945 by British troops and was held until 1947.
