Heinz Kokott Military person

Heinz Kokott (14 November 1900 – 29 May 1976) was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.Kokott took part in the Siege of Bastogne in December 1944.He was captured by American troops in April 1945 and was released in 1947.
