Henry Santos, in full Henry Santos Jeter (born December 15, 1979), is a Dominican singer and composer best known for his time in bachata group Aventura. He is also the record holder for successfully completing and winning, undefeated and never nominated for elimination, "Mira Quien Baila", a Spanish dancing competition, broadcast on Univision. He was crowned "Rey De La Pista" on November 18, 2012. His solo career as a singer started in 2011 with "Introducing Henry Santos" which debuted #2 in sales on Billboard's Tropical charts, and in 2013 his highly anticipated second album "Henry Santos' My Way" hit stores June 25. On April 23, 2013, Henry Santos "My Way" (first single off his second album) reached number one (#1) in the Billboard tropical charts in the United States. His second single "Bésame Siempre" reached #11, and on June 16th 2014 his third single 'La Vida" featuring two time Latin Grammy winner producer Maffio, hit number one (#1) in the Tropical Airplay Charts of the United States.On May 6, 2014, Henry Santos partnered up with NYC Presbyterian Hospital & Columbia University in the fight against Child Obesity in the United States with their community program "Vive Tu Vida" by CHALK, offering a healthy alternatives menu in restaurants all over NYC & educating latinos on recommended portion sizes for foods, the benefits of exercising and a healthier lifestyle. Subsequently, Santos represented his foundation in the popular Telemundo cooking competition "Top Chef Estrellas"with the purpose of spreading the message.On May 14, 2014 Henry Santos was named the "Padrino" of the Latin Commission against AIDS in the United States, helping spread the word among Latinos on the fight against this illness. Subsequently, his voice & image were used on the CDC & Tr3s Campaign "Una Conversation A La Vez" educating Latinos on the prevention of HIV/AIDS.On July 12, 2014, After 4 Years, Santos reunited with his old bandmates Lenny, Max & Anthony in a surprise reunion of Aventura during Romeo Santos' historic sold out concert at Yankee Stadium. It went down as one of the most memorable moments of 2014.On August 10, Henry Santos became the oficial God Father of the Dominican Parade in Manhattan, NYC. He appeared on the Today Show (NBC) educating importance of being Dominican in the United States & all it means to be honored as the God Father for this important Latin festivity. On October 24, 2014, Henry Santos became the official latino voice over actor for the NBA campaign "Todos Arriba", a campaign announcing the start of the 2014 NBA season in the United States.On September 19, 2014, it was announced that Henry Santos had become "the hottest body" of of the Dominican Republic, as voted by the fans in the reality/body competition "Los 7 Cuerpos Hot", a production by Luz Garcia in the tv special show "Noche De Luz".
