Hou Hsiao-Hsien Artist

Hou Hsiao-Hsien (born April 8, 1947) is a Taiwanese actor, singer, producer, and director. He is a leading figure of Taiwan's New Wave cinema movement.Hou has four movies selected in the "100 Greatest Chinese Films of the 20th Century" by Yazhou Zhoukan (Asia Weekly), two of which are in Hakka/Mandarin: A Summer at Grandpa's (冬冬的假期), released in 1984; and A Time to Live, A Time to Die (童年往事), released in 1985.
