Ian Banks Sports manager

Ian Frederick Banks (born 9 January 1961 in Mexborough, South Yorkshire) was a professional footballer who played for Barnsley, Leicester City, Huddersfield Town, Bradford City, West Bromwich Albion, Rotherham United, Darlington and Emley AFC. He has also been a coach including at Chesterfield and former club Bradford City, both alongside Nicky Law. His son Oliver is also a professional football.He was the manager of AFC Emley during the 2008–09 & 2009–10 seasons working alongside assistant Grant Crookes, becoming the first person to be manager of the previous Emley and the current Emley.On 6 March 2010 Banks placed himself on the bench for an AFC Emley vs Hemsworth Miners Welfare game due to original sub; Steve Smith unable to turn up so Banks placed himself on the bench. However, Banks did not play.For the 2010–11 season he will be the new manager of Eccleshill United who are in the North East Counties League Division 1. He will be teaming up again for a 3rd consecutive season with his assistant manager Grant Crookes.
