Itamar Franco Politician

Itamar Augusto Cautiero Franco (Portuguese pronunciation: [itɐˈmaʁ ˈfɾɐ̃ku]; 28 June 1930 – 2 July 2011) was a Brazilian politician and the President of Brazil from December 29, 1992, to January 1, 1995. During his long political career, Franco was also a Senator, Mayor, Ambassador, Governor and Vice President. At the time of his death he was a Senator from Minas Gerais, having won the seat in the 2010 election.
