For the Russian soldier and military historian, see Ivan Petrovich LiprandiIván Petrovich (Serbian Cyrillic: Иван Петровић; 1 January 1894 – 18 October 1962) was a Serbian film actor and singer.Born Svetislav Petrović (Serbian Cyrillic: Светислав Петровић), (also spelled Swetislaw and Iwan) he entered film business at the end of World War I. In the 1920s he made several Hollywood silent films for director Rex Ingram, including The Magician, The Garden of Allah and The Three Passions. He starred opposite Ingram's wife, actress Alice Terry in all three pictures. To his early work belongs Die Dame mit den Sonnenblumen, Homo immanis and Der Stern von Damaskus. He lived and worked in Berlin after World War I.With his singing talent, Petrovich made a successful transition into talking pictures. To his well-known films of this time belong Die Fledermaus, Der Feldherrnhügel, and Die Nacht der Entscheidung.
