Jack Beames Rugby player
John "Jack" Robert Beames (1 March 1890 — 1970) was a Welsh rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1910s and '20s, playing club level rugby union (RU) for Newport RFC, and playing representative level rugby league (RL) for Great Britain, Wales, and Other Nationalities, and at club level for Halifax, and Bradford Northern, as a Second-row, i.e. number 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums.
