Jack Hoyne Gaelic games player

Jack Hoyne (born 1881) was an Irish hurler who played as a full-back for the Kilkenny senior team.Born in Tullaroan, County Kilkenny, Hoyne first excelled at hurling in his youth. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of twenty-one when he first linked up with the Kilkenny senior team. He made his senior debut during the 1902 championship. Hoyne went on to become a regular member of the starting fifteen and won two All-Ireland medals and four Leinster medals.At club level Hoyne was a seven-time county championship medallist with Tullaroan.Hoyne retired from inter-county hurling during the 1907 championship.
