Jacques Tourangeau

Jacques Tourangeau (born January 1941 in Quebec, Canada) is a Canadian actor.He graduated from Université de Montréal, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1963, a Bachelor of Education in 1965 and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in 1986. He gained his first role in the Quebec TV series Rue des Pignons. During the late 1970s, he appeared in various Quebec dramatic television series. His most notable role was that of MP Oscar Drouin in the "téléfilm" Duplessis, based on the real life of Maurice Duplessis. Perhaps his most significant role to date has been that of Eugene Lyon, in the successful drama film Agnes of God, starring Jane Fonda, directed by Norman Jewison, a Golden Globe winner and nominated for multiple Academy Awards in 1985. His last film role was in 2004, playing Professor Amiel in the romantic comedy The Prince and Me starring Julia Stiles.
