James Hodgson Cricketer

James Simon Hodgson (born 30 April 1969) is a former English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm off break. He was born at Guildford, Surrey, and later educated at Wellington College, Durham University and Cambridge University. Hodgson made his first-class debut for Cambridge University against Nottinghamshire in 1994. During the 1994 season, he represented the University in 9 first-class matches, the last of which came against Oxford University. In those 9 matches, he scored 256 runs at a batting average of 18.28, with a single half century high score of 54. In the field he took 8 catches. With the ball he took 15 wickets at a bowling average of 48.80, with best figures of 4/14.
