Jean Bastien-Thiry Military person

Jean-Marie Bastien-Thiry (19 October 1927 – 11 March 1963) was a French Air Force lieutenant-colonel and military air weaponry engineer (creator of the Nord SS.10/SS.11 missiles) who attempted toassassinate French President Charles de Gaulle on 22 August 1962, following Algerian independence. He was the last person to be executed by firing squad in France.
