Jean Carne (born Sarah Jean Perkins on March 15, 1947 in Atlanta, Georgia, United States) is an American jazz and pop singer. Early in her career, her name was spelled as Jean Carn before she added an e under the advice of a numerologist.Carn is a vocalist credited with a five octave vocal range. She is recognised for her unique vocal ability and has proven herself to be a vocalist of unlimited depth and dimension.She began her recording career with her then-husband, pianist Doug Carn, founder of Black Jazz Records.
