Jessica Mathews

Jessica Tuchman Mathews (born July 4, 1946) has been president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a foreign policy think tank in Washington, D.C., since 1997. She has held jobs in the executive and legislative branches of government, management and research in nonprofits, and journalism.In October, 2014, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace announced that she will retire as its President, and that she would be succeeded in that post by former Deputy Secretary of State William Joseph Burns, effective in February, 2015.
