Jim Burns Basketball player

James B. "Jim" Burns (born September 21, 1945) is a retired American basketball player.He played collegiately for Northwestern University.He was selected by the Chicago Bulls in the 4th round (34th pick overall) of the 1967 NBA Draft. A native of McLeansboro, Illinois, he was able to play with another McLeansboro native, Jerry Sloan, for three games with the Bulls during the 1967-68 season. Burns also played for the Dallas Chaparrals (1967–68) in the ABA for 33 games.
